The idea for this week's theme comes from Steven, a self-described collector. The theme .... collections.

The fine print:
Because the purpose of the weekly theme is to get us more familiar with our cameras and to sharpen our photographic skills, entries should be taken during the week of the theme.
Photoshopping is allowed.
To make this thread more manageable to view, please post only your entries in this thread. Post your comments in the accompanying 'comment' thread.

About 10-15 years ago I started throwing every toy or promotion that came in a cereal box into a large box. It had to remain in the original package because on the box it is written "Cereal Finds- Early Retirement." I then would send for stuff from the back of the boxes only if it cost just the stamp to mail it, and I accepted Happy Meal Prizes and such as long as they were not open. You know it's bad when your friend's 7 year old comes by to give you toys he has no interest in.

I most likely will have other collections to add this week.

I don't really collect anything but on the other hand I'm not good at throwing things away so I do accumulate collections :). So what to pick - well I'd lost a remote today so had to dig into the remote collection to see if I could find it so thought that might be worth a quick pic. Sadly the one I'm looking for isn't in that pile. Just have to keep looking ;) .

As a kid I was active in quite a few political campaigns. Proud to support both sides of an issue, we'd furiously stuff envelopes for whatever candidate or cause would give us the most pins and bumper stickers ... the currency of youth. The older pins belonged to my dad.

I can no longer collect plants but try to urge every one else to.
None of these are especially rare but they were blooming today.

I've had these for 40+ years ...still can't understand why my wife can't fit them into the decor of our home somewhere.

Ellen- This collection of old beer cans isn't allowed in the house so it sits in the garage. I like the tin can Brew 66, second from right. No fancy pull tab on this one!

I'd forgotten about this collection until I was looking for some old pictures and found this - must date back to 1971 in the UK when the old Pounds, Shillings and Pence went decimal. Made things a lot simpler (I can well recall the complicated arithmetic involved in the old system) but confused the older generation at the time (including my parents).
For students of history the US used pounds shilling and pence until 1792 and in Canada until 1858. I ran into some old Canadian school books that had conversion to dollar exercises and I had trouble doing them :o

Participating in the weekly photo challenge. This is a collection of my twins' cars from the movie Cars:

Hopefully, I'll be able to participate more in the future. (The only other collection I could think of is the collection of snow in the front yard that is finally melting off.)

It's nearing the end of this challenge, so here are a few Pack Rat gatherings that haven't made it past the basement. Rusty, you understand don't you?:D

Sorry they are in slight disarray. Whenever my little nephews come over they want to "play" with them.
