Help with the gray background

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the gray background in the editor (the void area under your canvas) not stick. I want have my canvas full size, so I can see what I'm doing and be able to scroll down all the way, so I can see my edge and more gray. I want to be able to do this for brushwork, because my brushes (obviously) disappear once placed over the menu bars, but I want to get the border of my pages with the tips of brushes...instead it just stops as soon as my canvas touches the sides...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums.:)

If I understand correctly you just need to zoom in. The canvas will remain the same size but your photo becomes bigger and you have to use the scroll bars or the hand tool to move around the photo.
