Has anyone used E5 to Publish a photo gallery directly to a Yahoo hosted web site? I need help. I've created the gallery, entered the publishing settings, tested access to the server - which was successful but the upload reutrned a message of FTP upload failed. I have run out of things to try?
Thanks for any advice!

I had trouble with the same thing via Comcast. It tested fine but failed to load. I ended up uploading it "manually." I, too, would be interested to know how to do this successfully.

I haven't used Yahoo but I have ftp'd a gallery from PSE5 up to the personal web space that my ISP provides and it worked fine. Only thing I can think is that the Yahoo hosted web-site doesn't like Flash which is what PSE5 photo galleries are.
When you say you tested access - did you get all six green ticks? First time I tried I could access the server but didn't have it pointed to the right folder.

Not all galleries are flash, unless that's changed in PSE5.
I just write my galleries locally and then use filezilla (free to run on Windoze computers) to updload my files to a yahoo web site. Works flawlessly.
I have not tried writing directly via the tool to the web site though.

most of the free webspace places, like Yahoo, add their own advertising header & popup code to the top of every page (ain't nuthin' really free...) so their code mucks up your page's code, with javascript callouts, stylesheets, etc.
To just load images, Photobucket is free (my fave) and there are many others (a lot of folks here like Pixentral)
To load your own gallery on your own webspace and have it look like you designed it, it's really best to spend a few bucks a month a get your own domain/host. It really is pretty inexpensive for just a basic setup, and there's no ads (unless you want them)

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I found the answer to my immediate problem. There can be no spances in ANY of the file names ANYWHERE or the gallery will not load.

Duh, didn't think of that. I've had that problem before. Thanks for solving the mystery.
