hi Laurie,
How are you downloading your images and what format are they in?

I am not sure what you mean my format, but I sometimes use my Epson Stylus Photo Rxr00 with the memory card reader, and sometimes I use my Memory card reader SmartDisk. Is there a "preference I should look for on Elememts?

 No am am working From Raw, and it dupicates them after I have downloaded them from my camera, and got to review the pictures, lets say an hour or so later.
I also do not understand another thing... I get a message to backup my images when I do to Orginizer, I did this once and it deleted photos from a slide/music show I had just out together, however it was only photos that I uploaded since I installed PSE3, no the ones that were there from my older version of PS.

Laurie,
Could it be that your memory card contains images that you have already downloaded once? These two methods may put the images in different locations, so it would be possible for you to download the same image twice.

The duplicates happen from the first upload. I know what you are trying to say about uploading again, because I have used the same memory card to take more photos and PSE asks TELLS me the images are already there. I have ended up with as many as 14 copies, what a pain to delete :!: The only thing I can think of is that it is still reading the memory card because I have left it in the card reader, but it would seem that it would also recognize that that file is already there.
