I have pro Show Gold but have had problems during rendering. Am considering Premier. Does anyone know, does it do the same thing basically? Can I add music and time the slides to the music, etc.?

Deb: I don't have Premier Elements (I do have ProShow Gold) so can't really comment but can't help thinking that if you have rendering problems with ProShow Gold you could well have the same problems with Premier. Have you tried ProShow tech support? - they're pretty good.

Deb: Premiere Elements (PME) can do a lot more than ProShow Gold (PSG). I can't imagine a feature that you will miss - wait: with PSG you can generate EXE-files, that's not supported. Basically, in PME you have as much audio and video lines as you want, so you can combine them in nearly every way. You can also do a lot of animating effects (color, rotation, zooming...) via keyframes, so you can get very sophisticated shows. It supports MPEG-2, WMV and others up to a resolution of 1440x1080. There is only one disadvantage: the rendering is very, very slow.

That's the problem, I have tried and tried tech support but they have not been able to solve or even really understand my problem. My computer is plenty powerful enough, they tell me I have interfering processes. When I shut all those down it still doesn't help. I may give PME a try. What have I to lose but more time and money! ha, ha. Thanks for the imput!
