:) I had some nice things said to me about the post of the rose so I thought I'd show another view.[URL=http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1IqhdDOuTXBaESDO8mBJvreajyVsGX0][IMG]http://w

Oh boy, my face is red. I said this morning every thing was fine, but it is screwed up!! I quit. I'll leave it as it is and just forget about getting a critique on submitted photos.

Bill - What a beautiful carving! I can't imagine the patience it must take to complete a project like that. I hope you are able to solve the posting difficulties so you can share more of your work with us...

Bill,
I saw your hand in hand in the gallery and it is wonderful. Don't give up, you obviously have a lot of patience to be able to create the rose on hand.
Karen :)

Bill, I mentioned in the other thread on this how awesome it is. If you have the patience to do something this beautiful, I have no doubt you will eventually get your gallery link posting to Pixentral right in time. Just be patient like you are with your carvings.

Thanks for your kind comments. It took me about a hundred hours total, of course onl:) y a few hrs. a day to carve it. The rose is carved from mahogany and the hand is of basswood. I actually scanned my hand to get a pattern. My idea is that the rose represents love and the hand is offering love. I know, it sounds corny, but it was my idea. But like I said in a different post, it will probably be my last big peice because old Arthur, as so many other old goats, has invaded my hand and wrist so I can't carve for any length of time. Thanks for your comments, BillandCat

Hey Cat,
Looks like Bill can stop kicking you for a while, now that he's gotten his Gallery link straightened out... ;)
