Hi,

Is their a way to reduce the resolution of all the pictures all at one time. I am working on a presentation slide show for the churches 50th anniversary in PRE3.0. I have quite a few pictures in already and more to come but I have been reading here on the forum that for the purpose of burning a dvd that the resolutions of the pictures should not be too large. They are jpeg's scanned by different people. I don't want to run into a problem at burn time if I can avoid it all together with some advance preparations

Thanks Vesta

Any chance you also have Photoshop Elements 5? If so you can modify multiple file at once.

If you do not have Photoshop Elements 5 - download the free IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/). This program also has the ability to modify many files at once.

I've created a few slideshows and burnt a DVD in Premiere Elements 3 without any problems with image quality. I did some experimenting with just 10 pictures of different file sizes. First, I created a slideshow in the Photoshop Elements 5.0 Organizer with different pan and scans, saved the project and then exported to PE3. In PE3, I added a few DVD markers and picked a generic 16:9 DVD Template ( I do everything in 16:9 NTSC format) and burnt a DVD. I played the DVD on my 58" 16:9 big screen TV and the image were fine. Also, I created a slideshow with PE3 and created a DVD and it was good. I created another slideshow using the software MemoriesOnTV and created a AVI, imported it into PE3 and burn a DVD. The images were blurry. Then I created a slideshow in Imaginate 2.0 with pan and scans, created a AVI, imported it into PE3 and burn a DVD. It was fine. Do some tests with a few pictures. I didn't like using PE3 to create a slidshow because pan and scan creation is difficult and is easier in PE 5.0 and other software.
