Trouble with Shadows/Highlights

All of a sudden every time I try to use Shadows/Highlights, Elements freezes and I have to get out. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Elements 3 but to no avail. Can anybody help me?

Have you tried deleting the preferences file? It's always worth a try when PSE3 misbehaves :)

To delete the Preference file, click on the Elements start up icon and then straightaway hold down the CTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys together.

Keep holding these keys until a windows comes up asking if you want to delete Settings, select Yes.

Let me know if this cures the problem..

Hopefully that will help as uninstalling Elements doesn't get remove the prefs file.
