Well, this is what I ended up with. I did not follow what Butch did but tried things on my own first.

What to you think?

Hi Christine, I think you did a terrific job with your photo. I am in the process of trying to restore some old pictures from slides and hope I can do even half as well.

Hi Christine ...

You really have made great job of doing that ... its really good. If I hadn;t have seen the original then I just wouldn't have known that it had been restored :)

Wow, Christine, you did an incredible job. Your patience really paid off. Every time I try to work on an old photo, I give up in frustration...

Oh Gosh Wendy .. am I THAT obvious? hee hee .. Yes .. This is exactly what I will end up doing!

Norma, I tried to stick with original colors as close as possible. I believe the blanket was originally white though but I really like the creamier color for it.

I am still so excited that I did this!
