What's the deal with Adobe that PSE5 is not available for Mac? I'm starting to feel left out without all the neat new tools. Does anyone know if there's one in the future?

Adobe has been following a pattern for PSE for Mac, skipping every other version. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe PSE 2 was the first Mac version, then Adobe skipped PSE3, PSE 4 there was a Mac version and now there PSE5. So if Adobe keeps with there pattern version 6 will be the next Mac version.

There was a PSE 3 for the Mac. I am still using it. PSE4 was delayed release after Windows. Rumor has it that PSE5 will not release until it is for the new chip. May be a while.

Hi ...
PSE2 & PSE3 were issued at the same time as the Windows version but PSE4 was quite a while after ... because they merged the Organiser with the Windows version and then removed the file browser they then had the problem of a filebrowser for the Mac version of PSE4. They used the CS2 filebrowser so just maybe they will do the same thing again .... however so far there hasn't been any news about it :(

I believe PSE 2 was the first Mac version,
Nope. PSE1 was made available for both Macintosh and Windows at the same time, on the same disk, as it was the case for PSE2 as well. PSE3 was a different disk for each version. PSE4 for Mac was released after PSE4 for windows. PSE5 might just be released when CS3 becomes available as an Universal app.
