:( :( :( :(

If I download it to my desktop. I can hear it but all I get is a white screen. Is that happening to anyone else? It is like that for all of Corey's.
But our regular videos from the site or fine.

Where are you getting the videos from? I get them using iTunes (along with other photoshop podcasts). And I can see them just fine there using quicktime - I can save them and they show up in Quicktime without any problems either.
Are you on a PC or Mac? That might help those who use that system to help you.

Pc - Windows XP Pro. I wasn't having any problems with my older version of QT Pro, but the upgrade ....

I have tried getting the Killer Tips through itunes, but had no luck. But if you are signed on as a subscriber and click on the Killer Tips box it takes you to a page where you can download them. I can then open them in Real Player. Same with the tutorial QT vids put out by Scrappers Guide. I have to open them with Real Player if I want to see anything other than a garish pink/green screen with crazy lines. Oh and I can hear the audio just fine.

And I can see the latest tutorials from Matt K and Corey just fine. Such a puzzle....

This morining I was able to download the Rule of thirds video without a problem. Now when I click on the site it is asking me to go through Itunes and when I get to Itunes it shows the videos in que but is asking me for an Itunes password. What's up with this. Do I have to be a member of Itunes to view the podcasts? If so, why was I able to view it this morning?

I had problems viewing the videos in QuickTime too, and then I found this tip at the Apple site.

Disable Direct3D video acceleration in QuickTime

1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
2. Open the QuickTime control panel.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Deselect Enable Direct3D video acceleration in the Video section as shown here:

I just viewed one of the videos on layer mask and it was great the blending mode tip was awesome. At the end of the video he gave me a helpful tip on the ruler and how I could change to inches, maybe now I can use the ruler. Thanks for bringing the videos to my attention.

AHH not another one. I currently have 117 unwatched photoshop/ PSE podcasts waiting to be watched, thats like 7 hours of podcasts. Sounds like a new years resolution to me :) the ony problem is that a single podcast usually takes me about an hour to watch because I always pause them so that I can keep up with them in my own project. That will be by spring break :)

Glad to hear that Michelle! You shouldn't have any problems getting the tips downloaded.

Well, gotta go! My hubby just got home from being in Boca all day. I've been on the computer a big part of the day and I'm now tired! My eyes are going batty!

I got Matt's book today. I was upset at the postmaster though because he crammed it in my mailbox!

Another question, regarding Corey's video's.
I am able to watch them, but when I click the square to make them full scree, they are blurry, and pixelated.
What do y'all have the settings in the visualizer set to, on the menu bar?
Or is it just me
m

nkeevers
January 20th, 2007, 10:31 AM
Well, mine is slightly blurry too! All I have set up is it to play in a separate window and my visualizer is on medium. I didn't see any other setting for podcasts.

I have iTunes version 6 and I know version 7 is out there but I wouldn't think that would be the problem. Maybe someone else will see this thread and know the answer.

When I click on the podcast it takes me to Itunes. I can see the killer videos listed in the que and it says free. When I try to click on it ask me for a Itunes Id and password. I entered the requested info but then nothing happened. Any suggestions?

why not just do... save target as and save to your desktop and watch.
I don't have iTunes. This is what I do.:D

I have been able to watch the Rule of Thirds video. But I am unable to watch the others. When I click on "Get Episode" nothing happens.

Kimi, how did you save it to your desktop? I did a right-click, copied, and pasted to dsktop, but it did not work for me.

Assistance needed, please.

Stephen.

Kim: The very first time I watched the rule of thirds video that's exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. Now when I try to access the videos it ask me to sign on to Itunes. It shows the videos in the Itunes que, And, even shows them as FREE. but I can't access them and when I do a Right click as you suggested, the "Right Click" option isn't available, just copy. I am a paid subscriber to elements, do I also have to be a paid subscriber to the podcasts? Thanks in advance for your reply.

All I do is right click on the download here, then save target as. and put it on my desktop. I am accessing it from the top right hand logo. Make sure you have signed in.

Steve, I have found a solution. You must log in as a subscriber, and click on "Killer Top Videos" in the right column. It takes a minute of so to dewnload (depending on your internet speed).
