Just a reminder that I'm always looking for good ideas for the weekly photo themes. If there's something you think would be fun, challenging and workable for people around the world ... please let me know. (A PM is fine if you'd like to keep it a surprise.)
Hope to hear lots of good ideas!

" Oh Mighty HerK " he says to the gods as he pulls his power ring off his belt and places it on his finger points up to the heavens !

Bill... just to show that we have not forgotten about you. ;)
How about bare or dead tree or plant. That is pretty much all I have to look at around here. Later we could do the first signs of spring. I know that some of the seasons or off for some of us. just a thought...
animal
car
t-shirt
I still like the self portrait idea. (you can distort yourself)
chair
dish, as in plate or bowl
favorite thing
most used item

 OMG ! Well of course i do now that you have posted it !!! However did you find that ? I barely remember but I do...too funny !
Been an off day here..ice everywhere with no end in sight ! Power went off once and then came back on...just a matter of time before it goes off again. Pretty scenery tho..' ice palace' ;) just hoping the limbs stay on the trees where they belong. I unplugged my computer so currently on my daughters.... no email. Been kind of a weird retro day for me...not sure why. Hey, I'll pay you to find a pic of the flute in 'HR Puff n Stuff ' ...Jimini ? And throw in the witch while you are at it :)

I think the guy that sang "I can see clearly now" sang the title theme for Herc. Jonny Nash??
I even had some matchbox or dinky toys (can't remember) of #2 and #3. (Thunderbirds)
Then after that faded I tried to make a Mach 5 (Speed Racer) from my slot cars.

I watched HR Pufnstuf as a kid, but even then I thought HR was a bit "fruity" dancing around in his little white boots. You know that Jack Wild, who played the kid Jimmy, died last year? The flute's name was Freddie. Sid and Marty Kroft were the producers. I have a DVD of the Brady Bunch Variety Show which they also produced. It is so absolutely horrible it's great. HR was even a "guest star" on one of the shows. Along with Tony Randall.:D
I think the centaur in Hercules was called Newton. He was a bit scary, like the boys who turned into donkeys in Pinochio.
This thread is getting a retro hijack. So Bill, how about a retro theme for a photo challenge? It sounds like it could be fun. You can even make it by decade...the 50's, the 60's, and so on.

Kim, thanks so much !!! Not sure why I thought the flute's name was ' Jiminy ' ...hmmm, memories play tricks !
Yup the retro theme sounds great !
Hey how about ' The Banana Splits !!! ' ...One, banana, two banana, three banana 4....that's all I remember of the theme song
Oh, and those monkeys !!! ...What was that show with the chimp's dress up ???? Anyone remember what it was called ?
Ya know, i know the culprit....been taking ' Ginko Biloba ' over the past month...I really think it's working ! ( suppose to enhance brain waves...)
