What a boat! Steven, you never told us that you lead a life of wealth and leisure! When are you inviting us all aboard for cocktails?
This boat is 100 feet long and has a 150' mast.

Janet,
during the last war things that went wrong were put down to Gremlins. In this age of computers it's bugs. In elements it's the stupid filter.
We've all been there and done that.:D
Now I'm of to write a grovelling email to Steven begging to be invited to the party!!

Only one night, Wendy!? I was thinking about at LEAST a week-long cruise! I hear the British Virgin Islands are very nice this time of year.

I try to keep my wealth a secret so people will treat me as an equal. I even go so far as to carry employment by a garbage/recycling hauling company to carry the illusion of being a common man. Now that it is out in the open I hope you treat me better.:D

January 11th, 2007, 08:14 PM
Steven, I will still treat you as an equal as long as you bring the boat into Lake Michigan to pick me up for the party. After my flight home Sunday I am not getting on another plane anytime soon.:D

January 11th, 2007, 08:30 PM
Kim- I can send out something from my fleet of private rail cars to pick you up. Anyone who knows me understands this is my main mode of travel. I need to use the boat to pick up those not connected to the North American land mass.

January 11th, 2007, 08:52 PM
Steven, that will do just fine. I have never been on a train so it could be fun. Just as long as it isn't something in the air.:D

Well, Stephen I may live in PA, but I am thinking....you could head south, then east through the Panama Canal, go around to the eastern shore of Florida, up the intercoastal to the Chesapeak Bay and up the Susquehanna. I'll be waiting on the banks of the Susquehanna!!! How does that sound??? You know, there are a bunch of us here on the forum from PA, we could all gather there and wait for you to arrive!

We have a canoe and a 12 foot flat bottom boat but I don't think anyone would see me to pick me up or I would get run over by the bigger boats. Both are painted camoflague.:D :D :D

Bill, I think that I saw your boat off the Swan Island Bridge the other day! I was wondering who owned that boat.......LOL By the way, it beats mine.

Pssshaaaaw!...... and here I thought Mr. Redsky wouldn't be caught dead in anything but a train!
I could beat Bill's boat - if I could find it underneath all the snow! (that would be a clue as to how "large" it is!)

January 12th, 2007, 01:22 AM
I wanna party, too. Looks like Bill's boat is about the same speed as mine, so I'll need to be picked up, too. I'm just a little inland from the Pacific Ocean. Just head for Portland, OR, and come on down the Columbia River to The Dalles where they have a large boat dock for the paddle wheels that go up and down the river. I'll be holding the red rose in my teeth. You can't miss me. :D

Wow! If I fly home for the weekend, You could pick me up in HR on the way to Sissy's place. On second thought, pick me up on the way back. Then I have more time to get my party attire on!

January 12th, 2007, 08:20 AM
I have a canoe and 2 kayaks if we need to paddle on out to the party boat. Steven can swing along the coast of Fla. for a few of us.
BTW Steven, as long as your coming this way, can you spare a couple recycle bins, mine are getting shabby:D

Well, personally, I want to be picked up in Red Sky's boat, not Billz'. Just come down the Rio Grande. It runs through Albuquerque, and I'll be waiting on the Montano bridge. Hurry, it's cold out here!

I guess Steven's Week-long PET Cruise will take longer than a week. If we're going to go pick up Sissy and Reka we'll have to make use of the Panama Canal!

CalamityJanet
January 12th, 2007, 08:56 AM
Reka, I wasn't suggesting that we shouldn't pick you up! I was only pointing out that it will require a more extended cruise via a beautiful and interesting detour! It's a GOOD thing!:D

Kim- I can send out something from my fleet of private rail cars to pick you up.
Then could you also (please) send one of your private jets to Europe to pick up Wendy and Kev and myself and anyone else from Europe :D :D :D
I'm looking forward to it already......I could use a vacation about now

Now George... we all know Gary has a dress. Judging by his picture, he will look better than all of us girls .
Steven.. how mean of you to hold out on the rest of us. If I hadn't checked this thread. Everyone would have gone off and left the little southern girl in Louisiana. :D

January 12th, 2007, 03:58 PM
Hang on, hang on - what about Robyn and me? I think we had better make that a 6 month cruise, unless the jet that picks up those from Europe and Britain makes a detour to Perth and Tasmania :D

I think that it would be much more sensible to have a round the world cruise then we could pick up everybody. :) :)

Oh wise one....
what a fantastic idea!! :D :D First thing Tuesday morning I call and quit work. Steven can support us all for at least a year. After all he did say he was a wealthy man and we should treat him better. We can take turns waiting on his every wish.

Okay, I've decided to take some of the pressure off of Steven. I'll volunteer my sea-going vessel, the M/V Janet! (I did not alter the photo...it really was called the Janet. If I had "shopped" it I would have done a much neater job than that quickie paint-job! That's the refinery dock where I worked for 19 years.)
George, do you think it will be big enough?

George and Janet - wait for us.

Lets see...the M/V Janet has a cargo of about 650,000 barrels of crude oil (or27.3 million gallons) which at today's price of $53 per barrel is worth $34,450,000.00. When we get low on funds we'll just pull into port and sell off some cargo. I think we can afford the cruise, even without Steven's riches. Who volunteers to be the navigator and plot a course to make sure we get everybody?
Keep on rowin' Bill!

Janet- I think Wendy would have to be Captain. She has control of the ship. I nominate Diana to be navigator since she is always able to steer us towards the correct threads when we get lost. Chief Science officer would depend on the ship's computers. If they are Mac based it would be Ray and if it's PC based I think Ward could handle it. Chief Technical could have those two previously mentioned working with Butch. I don't know who should be Ship Doctor or Communications. By the way, I watched Star Trek last night; can you tell? I volunteer to be Cabin Boy.

Hey, I'm game for this cruise! Really, quite often I've thought how great it would be if someone really did sponsor a Photoshop Elements users cruise so we could all get together and meet and party. And have fantastic workshops led by all the experts. Wouldn't that be fun? Of course, they'd have to have something for our spouses/significant others to do while we're "photoshopping."

Diane, they do have cruises with seminars like that. There is one coming up in Alaska but it is for PS CS users. Have never seen one for Elements though. It would be cool to have one for all of us.

I will be responsible for the galley! I love to cook, and it will take us a long time to pick up everyone.
BTW, have you guys left to pick me up yet? My party dress is getting dirty:(...I have had to sleep in it twice, not to mention the spaghetti sauce I spilled on it...
