Iphoto question

Well, I got my Mac Pro. Spent a lot of money and got a very nice one. Hopefully, I can continue to add to it and use it for many years. I am spending lots of time getting to know it and learning how it works. Got some books and am reading online tutorials. I want to start moving my thousands of photos over via firewire. I hope I'm smart enough to do this. I think I have figured out how to do it so they will be tagged correctly. One thing I haven't figured out yet in Iphoto is sorting my date. In PE organizor I just clicked on the date bar and got all my pictures taken in that month and year. This is very handy for scrapbooking. I haven't figured out if I can do that for Iphoto or if I should just create keywords or albums for each month and year. Any ideas?

Not sure if this will work for you as you will have importing them all in one lot but try View>Film Rolls ...
