Does anyone know how to use the Liquify tool instead of the smudge tool in Elements to paint over certain parts of an area of a photo to smooth out pixels? Thanks.

Hi Charlotte ...
Do you mean the way we were using the smudge tool to do animal images ?
If so then you could use the liquify tool to do something similar but I honestly don't think that it would work as well, liquify would probably be a too strong on the image.
Is there some reason why you don't want to use the smudge tool ?? ... or is it causing a problem with your image ?
Wendy :)

Thanks Wendy. I just posted a pic in another post that I was wanting to see if the liquify tool would help. The smudge tool does exactly what it says, it smudges, and the blur tool didn't work well either. Maybe I will get a response from my other post. I think I need to look in the subscriber area at the videos, I think there was a video on repairing old pic's. Thank you, you are always so helpful.

This is what liquify can do. You'll find it under Filters>Distort>Liquify
