Would anyone recommend a good place to begin with lessons.

If you joined, go up to User CP and add yourself a signature.
Start playing with some of the videos.
Take the layers course. You will be up and running in no time. :D

You're in the best place to start learning. With all the videos and tutorials you will be up and running in no time. It's a long learning curve but a pleasant one.
If you get stuck, ask, someone will have the answer.

Did you subscribe to the site ... if so then just go into the subscriber area and start looking at some of the tutorials in there. If you need any help then just ask and one of us will talk you through things :)

If you haven't already subscribed then I really would suggest that you do ... the subscriber area has lots of tutorials in it and its a great place to learn :)

If you really want to learn a lot and want to have some superior people helping you and really listening, then join this forum. I would begin with taking the layers course because that helped me the most in understanding PE. Then go thru all the videos and tutorials. You will certainly learn a lot and there isn't a better group of individuals around to help you with any problems than here.

I think a really good way to start is to find a picture in the gallery that uses a technique you'd like to learn and then start a new thread asking how it was done. You will get loads of help!! Andie
