I saw a thread on one of the forums I visit and now I can't find it again.
Is it possible to have a thumbnail view on a PSD file and if so how is it done?

Thanks in advance
PAM

Hi

Welcome to the forums.:)

I think there is a thread going around right now about this, but things move so fast here that a day or two can push it off the page:D

There was a way ( a .dll file and registry tweak) that Adobe removed from PS7 (I think) because of reports of corrupted or erased PSD files.

I think there are a few around that have these files and they work just fine. I had them and used them until a recent upgrade will no ill effects. Now I can't find where I put them (for safe keeping of course :D )

Hopefully someone will be along soon to steer you in the right direction.

Oh yah.. I got them from the Nikonian site but that was just from a thread there.

If you send me your e-mail address (just click my name), I'll send you the files. Gary summed up the histoey well.

Hi Pam

Makes no difference.. the files affect Windows not the program.:)
I only mentioned PS7 because that was the last version the files were included with.

Just give Ward a PM and he can shoot the files to you.

Well, I posted the above before I tried it. I have now tried it and it didn't work. Sorry folks.

Ken, I think the problem with this site is you also need a small change in the registry (may not need this for CS). If anyone needs this, feel free to send me a message.

I had two requests today via e-mail for these files, but the names were not the same as your Elements forum name--not that unusual.

If you still need the files, you can send me a PM or click my name for my e-mail address.
