View Full Version : Premiere not loading audio drivers HELP!!!

I am at my wits end!!! This is the second major problem with Premiere Elements since I go it 2 weeks ago.
After exporting the slide show from Photoshop Elements to Premiere and after the wmv file is made (about an hour later) I get this error that says "Adobe Premiere Elements could not load any audio drivers. Please reinstall Adobe Premiere Elements and start again."
WHAT????
This is the second time I've gotten this error message. The first time was a week ago and I did reinstall Premiere. Then I got an Encoder error which took me 2 days of holding and being transferred all over the place (world!)to remedy that.
Hence, I'm NOT going to reinstall unless I find out that will REALLY help the problem.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm using a brand new HP dv9030 with windows XP Pro.
I give up....HEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With many THANKS!!

Laurie,
Did you ever resolve this problem? I'm getting the same thing and can't find a fix.
Thanks,
Steve

I did not see where you indicated what versions of Photoshop Elements and/or Premiere Elements that you are using, so I went searching for anything that mentioned those audio driver messages. Check out the following and see if any of these help. With the first article, scroll down the article to reach the related section.

My understanding of what you posted is (1) reinstall solved audio driver message problem (2) That reinstall solved that problem, but then Encoding problem (3) Fixed Encoding problem only to have audio driver message problem return. Maybe there is a clue if you could say what you did to correct the Encoding problem.

The Adobe document in my previous post is for Premiere Elements 2.0. The one that goes with the 3.0 version is:

I have updated my audio drivers to the most current and my problem disappeared. Hopefully this solution is a long term one. I am using Premiere Elements 1.0,loaded this on a newly built computer that is running XP pro, version 2002, sp2.
Thanks for the help.

Congratulations on the opening of your new web site.
Several times in the past, when I have posted a response in this Forum, I have included reference to your free tutorials under the Tutorial Tab at http://www.chuckengels.com. If I go that route now it transfers over to the new site. At the new site, I find these tutorials, but now with a small fee to view these tutorials individually or annual membership fee to have access to tutorials in general. (At this writing, the DVD menu downloads still appear at the old site, looks like without fee.)
Could you clarify what your plans are for the http://www.chuckengels.com site and its remaining contents?

chuckengels.com will stay the way it is for now. I am not planning any major changes for the next 3 months or so. Sometime this year it will get a nice, and needed, facelift :)
videoinasnap.com will not change at all, probably never will.
And thanks for the plugs, always appreciated :)

I'm having the same problem with Premiere Elements 3, however I'm running VISTA. Any help?

I suspect that the problem is not version specific, so maybe recheck the suggestions cited earlier in this Thread. Please let us know what happens.

Just a quick after thought from the Vista angle.
You have all the appropriate "patches" aka "updates" to make Vista and Premiere Elements doable? Adobe and Microsoft web sites have documents on this aspect. If you need these references and cannot find them, I will do a search.
