I have Elements 5.0, Photoshop CS2, and Lightroom Beta 4 loaded on my PC. I recently ran updater (from Elements 5) to get the 3.6 version of Camera Raw installed to fix a problem I have with Lightroom. The result was that the Camera Raw updated to 3.6 for CS2, but not for PE 5.

How do I get PE 5 updated to the most current version of Camera Raw? Updater tells me everything is current.

Thanks,
-Mike

Mike, the approach I would take is to find the Camera Raw file in CS2 and copy it into the Program Files>Adobe>Photoshope Elements 5.0>Plug-Ins>File Format folder in PSE5.

I believe the CS2 version resides in Program Files>Common Files>Adobe>Plug-Ins>CS2>File Formats.

Thanks Chuck,

Do you know what the file name is?

Mike, it was a good question! I should have been more specific in my original answer.

By the way, the files will have the same name in both places, so you'll be asked if you want to replace the one in PSE 5; answer is yes. Also, you can download the Camera Raw file directly from the adobe.com website at any time; no charge for that one.

Let us know if everything works out for you.
