Mary - That's a great idea and a good shot .... you got us off to a good start.

Suzi - I love it ... and it certainly beats my pair of 10's.

OK Bill - I'll play. I'm totally at risk of total disillusionment about what I think I've learned about photography or falling for a totally trick question.

So, I'll say no, your image couldn't have come from the camera. I want to say yes because it looks so good but the bottom edge of the front of the dice (5 dots side) wouldn't be that blurry. WOULD IT ??? :D

Pat - It's not so much a photography question as it is a dice question. Dice always have the numbers totalling seven opposite one another. For example 1&6 on top/bottom; 2&5 on left side/right side; and 3&4 on front side /back side. In my picture the 2 was behind the five so I used the 3 and took out a dot. Much like your entry ... we both just changed a number!:)

(The blurriness is the result of a minor earthquake that happened as I took the picture and has nothing to do with my considerable lack of photography skills.;) )

Pat- So, should I report this act of vandalism to the authorities? I really hate to think what Blueberry Bert would think.:D

You've been researching again....!

I have my sources Pat!

Nancy- Nice to have you back in the photo challenges. Isn't your office a bit warm? My basement area is probably 60-64 degrees and I'm in bare feet.

Yes it is. When we put the addition on it actually got insulated properly. Problem is - the rest of the house is soooo cold unless we set the thermostat at 71 and this room holds the heat so well it never cools down between cycles. My husband jokingly calls it the Florida room.

Tony,

That's because you weren't crawling the highway on a heavy cloud day, taking colourless pictures!

I had 4 people stop to see if I needed help as I repeatedly hoofed it to the "picture of the year"... and one nasty female who just had to roll down her window and tell me I didn't pick a very good place to park my car. What's wrong with a corner? :p

Steven - It's a sad thing when a place pours it's last beer.... very decent of you to stop by on the anniversary. Very clever interpretation of the theme and the side by side doors look good.

Pat - You're right .. ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Very nice approach to the theme and the burst of red just jumps out. Brrrr.

Kimi - Perfect! Did you use a brush for the firework burst??

Nancy - A nice sharp image ... and double credit for two sevens.

Tony - That about says it all ... the definitive image of seven.

There's still time to get more entries in ... so grab your camera and shoot a seven.

Thanks Bill. :D
My fireworks were a few of my New Years pictures that worked. I just changed the blend mode.

You had loads of time.. well at least for me.:)

I guess in your time zone it was close.:D

You don't see lenses like that very often anymore.

Mike- You know your late with your entry when it falls behind Gary's.:D Sorry Gary. I know I'm beating a dead horse with this but I have nothing else to do this afternoon. Man! You're faster with your responses than your photos!

Hi Gary,

You're so right... It's the 50mm prime lens on my beloved Canon AE-1 (http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m316/mikeholley_photos/PAW_Wk1_AE1.jpg). I'm actually going to buy film tomorrow  to give it a run out.

No probs.. always up for a bit of teasing.;)

Aside from a bit of procrastination  :D most of the reasons I tend to be later is, I spend the week scouting for pictures or thinking of something to shoot.

Then of course, I only have a day to take it and post it.

Mind you if the deadline was Sunday night ..... then I'd be posting then.

Ellen - I love it. Very colorful and it meets the theme seven times over.

Gary - Great billboard! And thanks for the Tim Horton entry. I had only known the name as the coffee landmark ... and never made the association between the hockey player.

Mike - Great photo! And plenty of time to spare. Good luck with the film shoot.

Gary,

Yeah that's the stuff. I think it will be a bit like trying to get leaded fuel. I'm not sure that the weekend staff in my local shop will know what film is.

Gary: Not a hockey fan so had to look up the Tim Horton connection but found this Blast from the Past of Superman:

Windows Media viewer needed.

Great pictures everyone!

Funny

When I was a wee lad my grandfathers favorite hockey player was Tim Horton. Little did I realize back then he would be one of my favorites too... albeit for different reasons.:D

I'm late. Once again a good theme and a wonderful variation of images. Having heard a zillion Tim Horton ads I had no idea he was a real human. Does he roll up in his grave?
I hope Pat didn't get caught defacing signs.
