Hi Everyone, I'm a Newbee to the forum so I hope I do this right. I have been reading the thread on the filmstrip and have truly enjoyed all the wonderful images posted. Also Wendy's help, she's a winner isn't she.
I was wondering if we are really going to get the third video on the filmstrip, and if anyone has contacted management to asked. It seemed strange that they have posted other new video's after the two filmstrips one, but no third filmstrip. Could they be forgetting? :D
Also I'm trying to create one. So far not good enough to post, but I'll keep trying.

hi Dorrie ...
... and welcome to the forum:)
The third filmstrip video was posted for a short while on Friday and it shows you how to use a custom shape to make a film strip, however there is also a custom shape download to go with it and there was a problem with that.
I understand that it will be reposted just as soon as they get the download from Matt ... hopefully it won't be too long before they repost.
In the meantime its back to doing it the other way ... do post the one you have made as I would like to see it and I'm sure that a lot more people would too :)

Thanks for the confidence Wendy. Here's my attempt at the filmstrip. I really don't know if I have done this upload through Pixentral correctly as I have never done this before.
I'm not sure why the filmstrip and lettering looks green. I saved my image as a .png, maybe .jpg would have been better. Any suggestions or info for improvement on color and whatever.

Dorrie, that's really nice ! I do kind of miss seeing a lighthouse in the background image tho. But that's just me having a 'picky' day. Please don't feel it needs to be changed. It's wonderful !

I look forward to your comments, and anyone else's. I'm open for criticisums. That's how one learns. As I said I'm just beginning with this.

Dorrie, geeze, that's nice. What a really nice job you did with both of these. You are well on your way to being a PE Guru ! I like them both. Ya know what tho ? The water scene in the first one gave it a nice feeling because it really is an emotion we are trying to capture, isn't it ? I do like the water because it gave me that peaceful ocean feeling. I should never have opened my big mouth. I just felt it was missing a lighthouse somewhere off in the misty distance....but that was my picky obsessive self speaking. Well done !

Part 3 of the Filmstrip videos should be up soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Dorrie... nice work - I like it. If I may, one quick suggestion. I think the filmstrip could benefit from a little drop shadow below it. That helps make it look more realistic. Great work though!

Thank you Matt and everyone else for your wonderful comments. I will keep trying to improve. I really appreciate all the suggestions as well.
The Elements User's Web Site and Forum are one of the best I have ever encountered. I have learned so much with the videos and the people who frequent the forum. Thank you all again.
