I'm using Elements 2.0. I'm trying to find a way to "Save" an irregular selection like a barn, person, horse, etc to "File" so I have it available to "Insert" into other software programs to make mailing labels, CD labels, etc. I'm trying to save it as a JPG file so the label software will recognize it. Whenever I "Save" an irregular selection I make in Elements, it ends up with a white rectangular background around the selection. I did manage to "Save" an irregular selection without getting a white background by putting the selection on a transparent layer and then saving it as a TIFF file. But when I inserted that into the label software design the colors went crazy. Don't know why that happened. Unless maybe because I put it on top of a colored background and maybe that "transparency" layer that I checked to keep when saving it as a TIFF somehow let some of that background color through.
I don't know - I'm very confused. Maybe Elements 2.0 can't do what I want to do? Certainly someone else has tried to so this and succeeded. Help! Cliff
