I too have taken many a persons advice and became a subscriber today:)
The amount of knowledge that is going to be coming into by poor brain just took a drastic jump:confused: That can be both good and bad but i think its all for the good.
I do have a question for Wendy though I have your custom shapes deckles down loaded and and unsure where to put it into elements. So i can access them. I know its a basic question but I need to learn.
Thanks Nolan

Nolan:
My suggestion is to keep a small spiral notebook next to your computer and start writing things down. That is the way I learned best in the beginning, heck, I still do it now! It makes for a great reference! Just don't move it from your comptuer space!

Nolan,
You won't regret becoming a subscriber - there is sooooo much information it is impossible to know where to begin.

Welcome aboard to the most friendly forum on the web in my humble opinion. You will learn so much here. I've only been here two months and already I feel like I've learned 5 years of information. To answer your question about custom shapes, put them in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Presets\Custom Shapes
I have PSE5 and that is where mine are.
The notebook suggestion is a good one. My method is similar but in digital form. I keep a sub-folder in my photography folder that I put "keepers" from this forum in that I can pull up. I also keep a folder of images that use techniques that I would like to learn some day that I reference when I am looking for new things to try.
Enjoy your time here.

Thank you all:)
I knew a while back that this was the place for me, all of you people are more than helpful and friendly.
I have learned lots already and that is about to change for the better with your help and the help of so many others I too will be able to get more than outstanding results and be able to help others along the way also.
Thanks
Nolan
