when printing photos, how can I get the phots to be centered on photo paper when they print? the dialog box for "center photo" is checked, but photo is printing off center to left.

My guess is that it is probably centered in the printable area of your paper, not the actual center. Does your printer manual or help file tell you what your printer margins are for that size of paper? you could try adjusting for that by adding white canvas to the sides that are narrower than their opponents (top vs. bottom, left vs. right). Another thing to look at is whether there is an alternate paper feed path for borderless printing for that size of paper. My printer has an alternate pathway for 4 x 6 paper (but I have never printed that size). I'm pretty sure that others have had this problem before and may be able to offer you some more specific advice on how to solve it without experimentation.

I had this happen and it turned out to be that I hadn't changed the paper size in the printer preferences to correspond to the size of the paper I was using.

I had switched to printing on 4x6 sized paper from my usual 8.5 x 11 and didn't think to change it; it was actually centering it but for a larger sized paper and it was off to the left.

A little thing that nearly drove me crazy before I finally found what I had missed.

Vickie, you were right. I checked the instructions that came with the Photo paper and reset the paper type and the pictures came out centered. thanks all who answered. Judi
