With the beginning of 2007 we will need new signatures for our images. I thought it would be nice if everyone posted their new sigs. It might help out some of the newbies and give others a suggestion about what to make. So who will be first?? :)

I did this the other day when I added my signature to my Christmas card. Nothing fancy, just functional:

Well.... I have been playing around for about 30 minutes now. I still haven't come up with something wonderful. Quite a few goofy ones. :p
I have to admit like Wendy I'm not much into anything with a date on it. I now have just a whole bunch of new Kimi's.
So Wendy go ahead and post just a new Wendy. :D
I will post some examples soon.
Kim.... yours looks great!

Hi Chas ...
Many of us put our signatures at the bottom of images we create ... and to do them we usually make a brush.
If you take a look in Wendy's Mini Tutorials (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3641) ... then scroll down to the bottom of the first message you will see links to two tutorial. Simple Signature Brush & Complex Copyright brush ...
They show you how to go about creating the brushes :)

Wow Wendy, you have some really nice ones there!
Wendy
December 27th, 2006, 07:44 PM
Hi Chas ...
You first need to make you brush then open your image
choose a colour for your signature, create a new layer above your image
then juct click down once with yout brush ..
... if you do it on a new layer you can also add a layer style, drop shadow etc and move it around until its in the right place :)

Hi Kimi ...
Oh they are really nice !! :)
What fonts did you use on the red one and the green one ??
Wendy

December 27th, 2006, 08:29 PM
Thanks Wendy.
I am pretty sure the red is Scriptina. I added 2 or 3 K's to get the effect I wanted. The blue one is a bunch of different fonts together.
I will have to examine yours carefully tomorrow and see if there is a push in the right direction.

I usually go by Kimie. For the forum I better stick to Kimh as it is confusing enough with about 20 of us Kim's already:D
Maybe I can come up with something if I stay away from this forum for long enough!

Wendy and Kimi - I like your new ones but I always really liked your previous ones too. Actually, Kimi, yesterday I was looking at your gallery thinking how much I liked your signature!! I have never gotten around to making myself one. I just type my name on each project. Maybe the time has come to make an actual signature brush.

Font for the m and the b was: palace script mt. Each letter on own layer then moved around to where I wanted it. The numbers were font: 38

I think that is more elegant. It really depends on the photo I am "signing" which one I use. The latest addition in my gallery has one of the Pixel Pixies on it.

Kimi - I have been busy entertaining my darling in-laws - they are 79 and 84 and so wonderful. I feel guilty sneaking away to my computer when I have company that I rarely see! Plus I have been starting to print out some photos from my trip to Spain and Portugal so I can make my scrapbook of the trip. So much to do, so little time! Really tho' my heart has been on the forum - I really miss it when I'm not here. It calls to me. Andie:)

Hi Frank ...
Do you mean that you want to add an Avatar to your signature ... if so then:
Click on User CP then on Edit Avatar (left hand side) and just follow the instruction from there :)

I never took the time to make a brush before, Wendy, even though I saw your instructions last year -- always just typed the copyright on an image and it came from whatever mood I was in. But after playing with text for the scrappers guide week-by-week lessons I tried a "monogram" for the bride and groom and I liked how it worked typing each initial separately and moving them around to snuggle up to each other. So in the holiday lull with Kimi's urging, I decided to make a copyright brush for 2007. Kimi always comes up with fun things to play with! I needed some inspiration!
