Hi, John. This is quite a photograph. Beautiful. Where in Oregon were you walking?? I live right across the river from The Dalles. I'd sure like to take that same walk next fall that you took.

Sissy,
This photo was taken on one of many trails at the Hoyt Arboreturm in Portland. There are about 12 miles of trails and each year the fall colors are beyond description. Each year I find many photographers taking pictures at Hoyt Aroreturm during the month of October.
You will see many types of maples on the various trails.
Check out the attached site for more information.

The other place I go each year is over in the Cascades lava fields near Sisters Oregon. The maples colors are great. I have one picture in my gallery I got at the lava fields last year.
Merry Christmas

Hi John,
Thanks for the information and the link. Hoyt Arboretum is very doable. Sisters is a little far, but I do hope to get there at sometime. Maybe this spring before it gets too hot hubby and I can go to the Arboretum. It looks beautiful.
