I have downloaded Grant's tools for PSE5. The alignment tools are fine. The other folder contains only 9 actions and is missing action channel, action color, action curves, action selection, mask quick and masks standard. Grant's site explains the use of all of them but they are not all in the download. Am I doinig something wrong?

Hi Frank
I think Grant left them out because they didn't translate well into PE5, same with PE4 as well, some were missing. So don't worry you aren't doing anything wrong.:D
There are other places to get some of those tools for free as well as paid.
I'm just happy about the layer mask and transform selelction still being there.:)

Frank: Grant hasn't updated his site but I did post an update of Grant's Tools for PSE5 here:
http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showpost.php?p=181276&postcount=2
Download the zip file and you'll have the latest version which includes Channel Mixer and Curves.
The missing ones don't work yet in PSE5 although quick mask isn't really needed as PSE5 has the selection brush. That only leaves Color Balance and Selective Color mssing from the PSE5 set.

Tony
Thanks for that.
I hadn't realized Grant was working on them still. I have an older set I guess.:D

Gary: I don't think Grant is but he delegated so I did some hand-rolling :D :D . They need to be set up a little differently to work in PSE5

Snow - what snow? Haven't seen any here yet - it was all down the road in London - nothing here so far this winter.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies. That was a big help.
I have another question along the same lines. I have just downloaded SmartCurve by easy.filter and don't know how to install it. The download instructions speak about a plug-ins directory which I cannot find.
Any comments on SmartCurve and how to install it in PSE5?
Thanks in advance everyone.

Frank: The plug-in folder is here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins
I haven't tried it in PSE5 as I have enough curves now to play with but I recall posts saying it works fine in 5 - it was of more interest in PSE4 as that had no access to any curves.

I have smart curves set up and it is working in PE5. Now that I have Grants, I might take it off.:)
Tony
I thought you were closer to London than you must be.
Were are still in the tropics here as well.:D
