Trying to burn my slideshow to CD to play on my DVD

Help...I'm frustrated. I have some beautiful vacation pics from Niagara Falls, NY & Canada. I have created the slideshow; complete with background music & titles, etc. I wanted to burn it to a CD/DVD to be able to play in the DVD in my living room. However, when I click on "Burn" it sits there and acts like it is doing something...but when I check the disc, there is nothing on it! I, too, am very frustrated. The manual has limited information and I would like more information about it. Overall, it is a good program...it is just lacking in a few areas. Can someone please help? You can only burn a VCD using Elements - which option under the Creations menu are you using?
