I just got Elements 5 and opened a raw file, after working on it my only option is to save it to a DNG file. Is there anyway that I can save it to a jpeg?

Yes - Click the 'open' button rather than 'save'. It will then open in the PSE editor and you'll be able to save it in any format you want.
