Wow -- this article is extremely useful. It made me realize just how much I didn't know about sharpening. Kelby's excellent book on Digital Photography gives very different advice about sharepening, so now I am a bit confused, although this article is much more detailed and technical. Of course that doesn't mean the advice is better. Anyway, many thanks for pointing this out.
