View Full Version : Reflections at an angle

The technique for reflections from Matt's video is really cool. It works really well for a reflection that is going straight down. What about a reflection going down at an angle? For example, I took a photo, put a border around it, then put it on the gradient background, then skewed the photo. I then duplicated the skewed photo, flipped it, and placed the bottom edges of the 2 together. However, the angle didn't look natural. Any thoughts on how to do this?

Hi ...
When you have done a skew on the original you need to use Image>Transform Distort to get the angle right on the reflection :)

Thanks Wendy. It helped to actually place an object on glass and see how the reflection goes. See attachment -- I think the result came out pretty well.

You did a super job on this! Time for me to give this technique another try. My first attempt flopped...
