Challenged by text

I have more trouble with text than any other aspect of elements. I was only able to highlight part of my text because thr rest was off the screen. I wanted to make it smaller. Now I cant figure out how to highlight the rest. I click on it and it jumps to a different layer or it puts a bounding box around it. I am on the correct layer to start with and I have the text tool selected. What can I do?

Hi Chris ...

Go into your layers palette ... double click on the text thumbnail and then change the font size. Then get the move tool and move it back onscreen :)

my technique is to place the text tool cursor in the text to be edited and press <Ctrl>+<A> to select all of it - then I can change the font size.

So many different ways to accomplish the same end -
