I mainly use the organizer for home picture sortment and slideshow.
I want to be able for the organizer to hang onto a screen size image for slide shows only. (I always use Photoshop CS2 for my profession and if I'm going to print, I'll dig out the original CD).
What's the best workflow so I can still delete and move images from my hardrive but still have my slideshow and orginizer work? Is it when I import from folders, to click the box "Keep original Offline"? Will that resize a "thumbnail" for the slideshows to my default 1024 x 768 and keep a copy of that file so I can move the original 17mB? Where does it keep tis smaller file?
Any help would be appreciated

Hello Peter and welcome to the forum
I'll take a shot but would welcome any input from others who use the slide show feature more.

When you load images into Organizer it creates a thumbnail copy for faster loading when viewing the images. The file is thumbs.5.cache (I believe-they changed the name in V5) if you want to look for that on your system.
The Keep Original Offline will allow you to store the image on places other than your C:\drive. Previous versions were limited to CDs/DVDs and put a small proxy image that linked to this file. When you wanted to use it, you clicked the proxy and it said, "Insert Disk XYZ".
In Version 5, they have allowed "offline" files to be stored on external hard drives. What I don't know is if the proxy image is still captured. Also, will it link to that file when the slide show is run or do you click the proxy and then load the file from your external hard drive.

I'd do some testing but I was using the trial version before the holidays and won't be upgrading until after Christmas.
