Hello.. I am not even sure how to go about asking this.. But I am not normally a PSE user.. I have recently got addicted to Paint Shop Pro.. and have been doing loads of fun stuff with it.. and my brother got me PSE5... and i am kinda.. welll.. stuck... Is PSE good for making scrapboook pages and photo correction only... (lol.. i havent even figuered out how to do that well with PSE)... or In your opinion do you think i can still create tags with it.... or should i just use PSE for picture type stuff.. and stick to PSP for tags.... I love doing both.. but by looking at PSE.. im not sure if it will be great for creating tags... or maybe i am just slow..haha
Thank You
Shelly

sorry .. just one more quick question so i dont have to create another post =D
I have been "trying" to mes around with PSE .. and i find that when i try and add "artwork" to my pictures and stuff... if it is to small i try and make it bigger it just gets pixelated (SP?)
Is there another way to make the artwork bigger without it getting Pixelated ...
Thanks
Shelly

Good Morning Shelly and welcome to the forum.
I've not used paint shop pro so I cannot compare the 2. And right now am using PSE4(until Christmas). However I have been thrilled with what I have been able to create in this program + all the help from the members here, and all the tutorials available in the subscriber section.
Check out various galleries and you will see all sorts of creations using this program, including tags.
Just a guess regarding the art work you are adding...what is the resolution of it? If that is smaller than your back ground canvas it will make a big difference.
Hope that helps some, have a great day.

I guess you are referring to the Artwork in PSE5. It will look pixellated when you drag out a corner until you comit it (click the green arrow). Then it will magically unpixelate.

Hi Shelly-
Welcome. My program(s) of choice are PSE/CS2, but I also have a healthy respect for Paint Shop Pro, as I teach it to middle schoolers (we have version XI).
Just about everything I want to do, I can do in either Elements or Photoshop (I'm still a rookie at Photoshop, learning my way). I like some of the quick effects and features of PSP, too, though. I do think the text tools and lack of layer styles is a bit bothersome (if you know ways around this, let me know!). Also, forgive my question, but what, exactly, do you mean by tags? I've seen the term used to refer to a couple different things...
At any rate, after having used (and taught) both PSE and PSP, I prefer PSE--but that may be because that's what I started with. It's very possible that had PSP been my starting point, I would prefer that one. It's a good program.

Hi Shelly and welcome. PSE is a very capable program.
If it's scrapbooking stuff you are interested in just check out some of the galleries at www.scrappersguide.com (http://www.scrappersguide.com) There are some scrapbookers here but you will get to see a lot more on scrapbooking there.
There isn't much you can't do with PSE.

Mike .. by tags i mean... umm... well.. i dont really know the exact way to put it.. as i have only been using psp for a short time...But the main things i have been doing is making "comment tags" ( like for myspace or something) and sig tags for forums... i hope that attempts to explain what i mean better
