Missing effects, filters,art and themes

I have been using PSE5 for several months now but today, the editor opens and I can work on images but the art, themes, effects are all blank.
I can see them in the correct directories

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects\photo effects"

but nothing shows in the editor
I cannot figure out what is wrong.
Any suggestions?.

Hi Jack ...

Close down Elements and then start it up again but hold down the Shift Key ... keep on holding it down and it will rebuild the artworks and effects :)

Thanks, that worked. I have never had to do that before. I remember with PSE4 you had to do something like that to rebuild but never in PSE5. Anyway, I will have to remember that trick for now.

Glad that it worked OK ... it just forces PSE5 to rebuild its database :)
