I am making a collage & have about a dozen layers in the Layer Palette. They all are visible but I would like to make them invisible so I can do some work on a copy of the background layer.

I know I can move the background copy to the top of the palette stack to cover the other layers and do my work unencumbered by the other image layers, but is there a way to make them all invisible without having to click on each layer's Eye radio button?

Thanks.

Hi there

Yes there is... have all your eyes clicked on... then hold the alt (PC) Option(Mac) key then with your mouse click on the layer you want on.... This will turn all the layers off except the one you click ...Do the same to turn them all back on... ... it is a toggle procedure.

Thank you Butch for that tip. I've been clicking on every layer individually. I love short cuts.:D

Butch,

Does that work for PSE3 as well or only for later versions? I've just been switching off all the eyeballs individually....

It works for me. I have PSE 3.
Click on the EYEBALL of the layer you want to keep open.

Butch, thank you for a great tip.
