I have put together a slideshow with pans, zooms, etc. but cannot seem to add music. :o I click on "Add Media" and have tried to access my ITunes music (all my own CD's, none purchased through iTunes) and can't get it to work. Do I need to export or import music files or something? Please help! I am able to get the Sample Music to work, but somehow Beethoven doesn't go with pics from a trip to Mexico!!! :D I'm sure I am just making this too hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, I am hearing that there are easier/better programs for doing slideshows with music, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

When I look at the files on a music (audio) CD that I purchased, they are .cda file type. I don't think that the Elements slideshow can use these files directly: what I did for a slideshow was to convert a .cma file. I think that converting to either WAV or MP3 will work.
I don't have itunes on this PC so I can't be specific, but I think that itunes can rip at .cda file from a music cd to an mp3 file on your hard drive. Windows Media Player is another alternative. Then you can use the mp3 file in your PSE slideshow.

I'm running itunes 7.0.2 and you can convert a song to
MP3 from the advanced pulldown. Simply select the song
you would like to convert and go advanced then convert to mp3. It will make a copy of the song in mp3 format and put it in the same folder as the itunes mp4. It does not overwrite the original. I have found that some music is protected and will not convert. This happened with music I loaded in from CD and music I purchased from itunes. No real ryhme or reason to it.

Thanks so much to both of you! I was able to convert the I-Tunes songs to MP3 and they easily dropped into the slideshow. It worked like a charm. Thanks for taking the time to help me, I really appreciate it! :)
