CS2 seminar okay for Elements user?

Next week there is an all day seminar in my area on Photoshop CS2 ($99).
I only use Elements at the time and don't see myself upgrading any time soon (uhhh, already new camera, lens and the wish list goes on and on:rolleyes: )
Do you think it would be an advantage for me to go? Besides the fact that it may obsess me to go out and buy it--yikes.

I'd go to the seminar, and I think you would still benefit from it. But then I am obsessive too. I attended an elements one (May '05) before I bought elements and even though so much was above me, I did learn (just at a lower level). Then bought 3 the following day. Then 4 when it came out, now 5 for Christmas.:eek:
When I took some camera and photoshop lessons over the summer I used cs2 and was able to do most of it when I came home.

I went to one that Scott Kelby did here in the UK last year ... and it was totally amazing. At the time I didn't have Photodhop but I loved every minute of it and gained a lot of knowledge from it ... :)

I attended the seminar about 2 months ago and really came away with a lot of knowledge. Granted there are some parts that do not apply to Elements, but for the most part it is a very good thing to go to. Well worth the money.
I would like to see an Elements only training seminar, but I'm not sure how interested Adobe is in doing that!

I went to the Dave Cross Powertour date in Baltimore and really enjoyed it. You'll learn alot!

They are having one here in Dallas on Friday, and I wanted to go but can't due to several reasons! I also watch Photoshop TV even though some things don't apply to my beloved PSE. :) I still learn a lot and I would have enjoyed the tour.

Thanks for your advice. I am going to sign up tomorrow. My little one (14, not so little) wants me to watch a movie with him right now.

Have a great time and please...let me know how it goes. I too recieve those e-mails to attend, and if it was here...I'd go.
Just not sure I want to pay and drive to Jax or Orlando for that matter.

I also went to Dave's PowerTour, Seattle Version last spring. Loved every minute. I found about 70% to be doable in Elements.

Now I have CS2...:o
