Hi Traci ...
Well you can rotate the canvas and that will simply turn the image on its side ... but I don't think that it what you are trying to do.
If you are trying to keep the photograph the same way up then you will probably need to use the crop tool to crop it to the right shape ... :)

Wendy's right - if you have a landscape picture and want to convert it to portrait then you have to crop (or reshoot). Unless the picture was taken with a very high end camera cropping to portrait and then printing 20x10 could also be a problem.

Kylie....
Lets see if we can establish what it is you actually want to do.
Lets imagine you have an image with a person on it and that image is wider than it is high....e.g 6" x 4"
You can either...
a) rotate this using Image > Rotate which will then make the image appear in a different orientation - narrow and high....e.g 4" x 6" - but the person is now on their side
or)
b) you can crop the image so the person stays the same way up but the image now appears narrow and tall rather than wider than its tall.
If its not (a) then you have to crop your image using the crop tool around the person and by drawing this crop box narrower than the current width but as high as possible.
If you want a 20 x 10" print your image has to be 6000 x 3000 or 18Mpixels. If you've cropped the original then whats left must also be this pixel size. Thats a big image to start with!!
