Weekly photo themes for December

December is just about here and I'd like to get the feeling of the group.

Would you like to see the themes continue on a weekly basis during December? (Fine by me!)

OR

Would you rather see just one theme (Steven suggested a good one) that would be open for the whole month and resume the weekly themes after the holidays? (Also fine by me!)

Let me know your thoughts.

Bill- I can't remember what I suggested! Anyway, I voted for the continuation of the weekly theme to keep it fresh. As we have seen, something carried out too long tends to wind its way down the thread list.

I like the idea of continuing because so many will be getting cameras or lens during the holidays. I love the theme challenge because it makes you think of things you would not normally see. Maybe we could do one with Christmas lights.:p

With that said.... Bill if you have other holiday responsibilities? Everyone would understand. :)

Hi Bill- I was wondering why the photo challenge starts on Sunday? If the subject was posted on Saturday morning that might get more people (other than Gary) a chance to use the weekend to do something. Just a thought. Did Portland escape the artic blast we got up here? I know those ice storms out of the Gorge can make your town a mess.

Now, hear, hear!! What'ya mean ice storms out of the Gorge?? We're just friendly little folk down here. We just have huge winds; that's all. Besides, aren't all trees supposed to grow leaning sideways.............

Steven - Sissy was kind enough to share some of the east winds with us, but the Portland metro area mostly dodged the bullet. You guys dug out up there yet? It looked tough.

I think the Sunday start date was started so people would have the chance to plan their shot during the week, or take multiple shots during the week and choose from the lot for their entry. Here's a link to the long-ago thread (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2544&highlight=assignment)where the concept was fleshed out. To be honest, the Sunday schedule works really well for my work schedule as well.:)

Hope you guys thaw out slowly enough that you don't follow the snow with flooding.
