Am I the only one who finds it irritating that I must always choose that I want to delete a file from the file system when I press "delete" in the organizer? Why wouldn't I want to delete it from the file system? I can't imagine I would want to have it removed from the catalog but still on the file system under most circumstances.
Is there an easy way around this I'm not seeing?
Thanks!

There are several instances when I want to delete something from my organizer but not the actual file. Some that come to mind are items that I've scanned, scrapbook pages I'm working on, and photos that I've edited in certain ways. When you delete the file it's really gone!!!

I agree with Patty and I'm glad that option is there. There is probably a way around the setting, but I don't know how. Hopefully someone will be along that can tell you.

Hi,
A quick tip (that many probably already know) that makes it a little easier if you really do want to delete from the hard drive and not just the Organizer is to tap the spacebar and the box will be checked then just hit enter and it is gone.

Thanks for the tip Jan! I didn't know that. Saves one extra step.

Thanks! That makes it better. I still wish there was a way to set a default setting for that checkbox. I don't have any problem with the option existing, it's just a common enough thing that I wish I could set how I want it to behave normally. But the spacebar tip helps quite a bit.
