Noob question about slideshow

I hope I can ask this correctly.

Is it possible to have mutliple pictures pop up in one slide of a slide show? Like a 4 up page?

I've made a basic slide show but have seen some slideshows where instead of one picture per slide, a picture will show and then move to a corner, another picture appears and retreats to the opposite corner adjacent to the previous one....... etc until there are 3 or 4 photos on one slide?

Does this require some type of animation software?

I'm using Elements 4.0. I did a search on slideshow but didn't find anyhting about this...

No, I don't think that you can not do anything like that with the Photoshop Elements software.

You could make a 4 photo "collage" or 4 photo Photo Layout in the Photoshop Elements Editor and then use that file in your slideshow. In fact you could make 4 such files - first with one photo, second with 2 photos etc. However, that would not have the motion of moving to the corner.
