I have just finished "The Digital Photography Book" by Scott Kelby. While I consider myself and intermediate user I enjoyed the book. It reminded me of things I had forgotten from my film days. Gave me some new quick tips and ended up costing me some money for the new toys I bought. It is in an easy to ready format typical of Scott's presentations. It is a worthwhile read for DSLR and even has somegood stuff for the point and shoot crowd.

I also just finished same and enjoyed (except his constant jokes were a little annoying to me.) I would recommend it. I am now reading Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure." I like the fact that it has exercises in and tons of information.

I have heard good reviews of the book too. Maybe that will be an affordable Christmas gift for my hubby to put in my stocking this year. I do have Understanding Exposure and it is a very valuable tool. I keep my copy at the coffee table to pick up now and then to view it.

Well I just ordered Understanding Exposure yesterday for my X-mas gift from the kids. Also got the PS CS2 Professional Bible. That should keep me going through the winter!!

I picked up 'Understanding Exposure' from my library last week and am about a third of the way through it. What an excellent book. I'm pretty sure that I will buy my own copy soon so that I can constantly go back to review it!
Somewhere on this forum was a really good discussion about photography books (sure wish I could remember who started the forum, They seem to know what they are talking about, as do most everyone that posts here!)
