Need help calib my 1800. Maybe I can't see a tree because of the forest!
I calib. my monitor with Spyder2PRO and all looks good. I also loaded the PrintFIX PLUS that I created a ICC profile for Epeon's Glossy paper.
I follwed their proceedure and printed out samples till I got the correct print.
I then went to print a photo,I made useing PSE-4 with adobeRGB, with the 1800 software useing the profile that I made. Prints came out too dark...I then went back and built other profiles and adj. brightness and contrast till I got a good print of that pic. I then printed another pic in the same series and the print was over exposed about 1f/stop compared to the monitor.
Questions: When I go in to the first print preview screen to select the Printer Profile the image looks just like the monitor. I then go in to the property screen and select the paper, photo, size, etc..I also go to and shut off the ICM. Then I go to print preview from there and the screen now shows a way over exposed image. I've tried this with Epson profiles, the one that came with the soft ware and a new downloaded one I just got off the Epson link with the same results.
Also, my pics are in AdobeRGB, should I remove that profile then go to print and assign the ICC profile?
I know this sounds long winded but have anyone had this result?
Will be greatfull for any help....Thx Gregg
