Upgrade to CS2...Can I do this?

I'm wanting to upgrade to CS2 and thought I could do so, for $170 or so, but in looking at the Adobe site it looks like the upgrade is not available for PSE users. Am I wrong?

Do I really have to pay $600+?

Help! I'm so disappointed.

Hi ...

It sounds like the upgrade you are looking at is the one available for people who own a versious version of Photoshop ... and sadly that doesn't apply to people who own Elements.

They do offer a discounted price to Elements Users (or used to as I can't now find it on the site :confused: ) but its not too much of a discount.

Once a year they do seem to send out offers to US Elements owners (maybe Cananda too) where they offer a much cheaper upgrade to CS2 but that was available a month or two ago and has now expired :(

Someone is going to give me Photoshop 7 (I think that is what it's called?). Will I be able to get the upgrade price for CS2 do you know?

Hi Kim ...

As long as they pass on to you the ownership and you are able to register it with Adobe then you will be able to. I think that you need something filled in about transfer of registration ... at one time there used to be some information on the Adobe site but I now can't find it :( :(
