Bill... I think we could all post a screen shot of the forum and call it a day.
Guess I will have to try and think of something else. :D
BTW. I like your collage showing some of your favorites. I would bet that a lot of us would put Abby Road in there. :p

Glenda- Great to have you join the challenges and nice shot of the two cats. How much does the tuxedo cat weigh? Our biggest tips the scale at 19.8 lbs. and the smallest is about 6 lbs. when wet, which is never.

Red Sky,

Charlie weighed 23 pounds the last time I was actually able to lift him :)

Rocky (our kitten) is still growing and is, unfortunately, frequently soaking wet. He seems to have a fascination with water ... jumps into the shower with me and (most annoying) likes to "scoop" water out of the bowl onto the floor ... all day. We're hoping it's a phase he'll grow out of <sigh>. But we love him. :D

Glenda- Charlie looks heavy so in Photo Challenge #56 I would say he is more comfortable than the human subject.
We too have gone through water fetishes with cats. We got one of those "Drinkwell" pet fountains that help to confine the weirdness. Once in awhile I'll throw in some ice cubes and that keeps the current one who is obsessed with water busy, at least until they all melt.

Steven, it's so funny you would mention the fountain! That's exactly what we have - two of them! I started to think it was the motion of the water that was setting him off. I'll have to try throwing a few ice cubes into it and see if it deters him at all. I'll keep you posted ...

Lots of good favorite shots this week.

Glenda - Yep, that would have a qualified for comfortable too. That's a nice shot and the finishing technique and vignette look great.

Steven - You were an early bird! (Am I correct in guessing that to be the 8:35 southbound Cascades??) I especially like the water lapping up onto the alley.

Peaches - A very nice collection of favorites. I like the background too.

Tony - Very nice effect with great results. A great view is right!

Kimi - You seem to be well on your way to mastering your new camera. That's a beautiful photo and a good interpretation of the theme.

Judy - Yet another great interpretation of the theme... great idea dressing up for the show too!

Karen - A good entry. Glad to see you've finished moving and everything is in place.;)

Kim - Beautiful photo and a wonderful treatment to leave the color in the hat. You seem to have done well with the lighting, and both of your subjects have very expressive faces.

Nice entries everybody ... looking forward to seeing Gary's and hopefully more additions.

Bill- That's right, it was Amtrak 513, the southbound out of Bellingham at 8:35 am. Do you know your train schedules or were you checking up on me to verify the shot was made that day?;)

Gary - looks like a great fog shot to me. Lots of mood ... I like it.

Tony - So much for the myth of the stoopid turkey! That's a great photo and it's really neat that you have those in your yard.

Steven - The international panel of judges relies solely on the honor system.:) I just happened to know there was an early southbound Cascades run out of Bellingham. Thanks for posting the original image so we could see the changes.

Bill,

Thanks for the kind words. We have not started moving yet, the sale only settled on Friday (24th) and we went up to the house Saturday. Because it has never been lived in since it was finished three months ago, there is a lot of work to do inside before we can even think of moving.

Karen :)

Glenda, great shot of the cats

Steven, why am I not surprised your favourite thing is a train? Great compsition.

Bill, that walk would also be my favourite if I lived close enough, love the colours of fallen leaves

Peaches, you have been extremely clever to fit so many favourite things into one photo - well done.

Tony, beautiful shot and I like the way you have made it symmetrical (spelling?)

Kimi, great shot of your favourite cat - the image is so sharp

Judy, I had to pick myself up off the floor (where I was rolling in laughter) before I could make a comment, wonderful memories

Kim, wonderful shot of the girl and the dog and the selective colouring on the hat is great

Gary, I agree with you, fog gives a wonderful feel to any photo

Tony, what a large family of turkeys

Karen :)

Great pictures everyone and thanks for taking the time for comments Bill and Karen.

Gary - I must admit I've got pretty tired of fog recently - had it every morning for the last week - this morning was the first without - but it does add to mood when you photograph it although I've never succeeded in getting it to look quite the way it actually looked.

Tony

We still had it this morning but I like it. It's been pretty thick at 5:30.

I find it very hard to capture as well. I tried Kimi's contrast mask technique and the photo looked more like It should but I lost the mood.

This was an especially fun challenge - what swell photos and i love to see everyone's take. Tony's wild turkeys are amazing - the factory birds seem a whole different species.
Thanks once again Bill for doing this and i hope the snow prediction is just hype.

Thanks for the comments Karen. I would like to go into a comfortable bed like you presented and stay there until the snow outside goes away. Yeah, that's right, I hate the stuff!
