I really want to get a digi kit. I have PSE5. I have no idea where to put it. Do I save it like a photo or what? What about the different pieces. I dont want a big mess like my photos were. When I got into fixing up photos several years ago, I would save them anywhere that popped up. You can imagine what a mess that was. I still find a stray image here and there. Can I put them inside elements so I can use them all the time like the other effects?

Chris,
Here's what you could do. In your My Pictures folder, make a folder called Scrapbooking Kits. Then, what I do, is make a folder of the site name (for example, Scrapper's Guide, Scrap Girls, etc), and then a folder of the designer's name (if there is one). Sometimes the zip file has the designers name in it, so I don't bother if it does.
Then, Unzip the kit into the appropriate folder. Then, in the Organizer I've made a Category called Scrapbooking. I have lots of tags under that category: Tags, Corners, Charms, Borders, Word Art, Stamps, Brads, Eyelets, Staples, Ribbons, Backgrounds, Mats, Flowers, Brushes, Food, etc.
Then, I go into Organizer and do a File->Get Photos->From Files and Folders. Then, once I get the Import screen, I IMMEDIATELY tag those scrapbooking elements. I make new tags if I come across something that needs it. I might tag something Stamps and Flowers if it is a Flower Stamp. You get the idea. I don't bother tagging the site name and designer name, but I do know some people do. Some people also try to tag color.
Then, to find something, you can just click on the little checkbox next to the tag name - Like "Ribbon" and see if you can find something. Or, if you know you want to get something from a particular kit, you can switch to folder view and find it the kit pretty easily.
