View Full Version : taking objects out of a cropped photo

I have a photo that I have cropped the way i want it, but there is half a person on the edge of the photo i want to get rid of and my dad's camera is in the way also. I tried using the clone stamp tool but it didn't work. Please can someone help me??

Hi Marcie and welcome to the forums.
If you could post the pic to www.pixentral.com we could have a look.
There are a lot of really talented people here that seem to be able to work wonders with problem pics.
Use Elements and file>save for web, with the long side of the photo in the size area, no more than about 700-750 pixels.
Then browse to the saved photo from pixentral, upload it and post the link here.

If i understood you correctly, i think you can just use the eraser tool to remove the person.

... and welcome to the forum :)
You can use the eraser to remove people but a problem with that is that you then end up with a "hole" where they used to be. Another way to do it is to use the clone tool (or some other way) to simply cover up the part that you are trying to remove :)
