I did this using Kimi's instructions. Wondering if opacity should be increased or lower a bit. I have stared at it for too long to make a decision. Comments welcome as always.

Valerie, that is such an adorable shot.
I think the opacity is more a personal perference so hard to really give an opinion. When I gave an opinion yesterday on what I would have done on something, Gary bashed me.:D Just kidding Gary. :D I did this too from Kimi's instructions but changed it a bit because I wanted more of a pastel colored pencil look. I personally would reduce but just a very little bit.

Valerie,
What a beautiful photograph - I love the eye contact between the two younger children. As far as the opacity goes, it is really a personal choice - I like it the way it is, I think it is beautiful.

Valerie, this is really a nice image, love the effect. It's a beautiful photograph to begin with!
I copied the thread related to this effect but didn't know what exactly it looked like. Very nice judging by yours, will have to find something to try it out with.

Hi Valerie ...
I think its delightful ... great photograph and a very nice effect indeed :)
As far as the opacity I'm with Kim on this ... its personal taste. Just try lowering it and see which you like the best :)

Valerie,
This is quite lovely. The pic is perfect for the technique. I know what you mean about staring at something (I've just been there for the last hour or so!! ).......after a while it is almost impossible to make a balanced judgement. I need to learn to be able to leave something for a day or so and then come back and look at it with fresh eyes.

Kim, Karen, Pat, Wendy & Robyn, thanks for you comments,....I will try dropping the opacity a little. I really like this technique and just happened to catch the grandchildren in that pose. Kristen (the one in the middle) is such a little mother when Josh is around, she just won't leave him alone. I only got to hold him once on Sunday.

Truly a lovely moment!! :D
my 2 cents... I would lower the opacity a little but that is just me.
