bending text

I’m sure this is an easy question for most. I am trying to add text to a photo and bend it into a half moon (crescent) shape. I can add the text fine, I just can’t bend it. I can turn it move it etc. Any suggestions?

there is sort of a wacky hieroglyph type symbol on the text options bar..very right hand side. If you click on it, it will bring up text shapes.
